How to price pest control services

Most small companies sell a quarterly plan with an initial fee. Here's how to set the numbers so each route makes money.

Start from your route hour

Figure what a route hour costs you: labor, truck, fuel, product, insurance and your overhead. Many owners aim to earn $100–140 of revenue per route hour.

A typical quarterly exterior takes 20–35 minutes plus drive time. That tells you the floor for a recurring price.

Initial fee

The first visit takes longer (interior, cleanout, sometimes a follow-up). An initial fee covers it and filters out tire-kickers.

Raise prices every year

Costs rise each year. A small yearly increase, announced ahead of time, keeps plans profitable. Pestbook can schedule it and send the notice.
