Who we are

Pestbook is software operated by Gold Standard Web LLC. Pest control companies (our customers) use it to run their business. When a company enters information about its own customers, that company decides what is collected and why; we process it for them.

What we collect

• Account details for company staff: name, email, cell phone number, role, and sign-in records.
• Information companies enter about their customers: names, contact details, service addresses, service history, pesticide application records, invoices and payments.
• Website visits and usage, through first-party analytics, to improve the product.

Payments

Card and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe. Pestbook never sees or stores full card or bank account numbers.

Text messages

Companies send service texts (appointment reminders, on-my-way notices, receipts) to customers who agreed to receive them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Mobile numbers and opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties for marketing.

Who we share with

Only service providers that run the product (hosting, database, email, texting, payments, maps, AI processing), under contracts that limit their use of the data. We don't sell personal information.

Keeping and deleting

Pesticide application records and customer notices are kept for at least three years because state law requires records to be retained. Other data is deleted or returned when a company closes its account and asks us to, after any legal retention period.

Security

Each company's data is separated at the database level, sign-ins use one-time codes with two-step sign-in for owners and office staff, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
